Meet Our New Senior Consulting Architect: Mark Butterworth

We are delighted to welcome Mark Butterworth to the Cyma family as Senior Consulting Architect, specialising in Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture.

Mark joins us with extensive experience as a Solution Architect and in architect training across Asia. He was drawn to Cyma because of the independence, the concentration of architectural capability, and a culture that truly feels like home.

When asked what makes Cyma stand out for clients, Mark highlighted our vendor-agnostic approach: “Being independent from product commercial interests positions us to become trusted advisors. Almost no one else in the market can make that claim.”

Mark also shared some inspiring advice for those starting their careers in IT and tech:
“You can do far more than you think - walk through every door that opens in front of you and trust yourself. This is what life intended you to do.”

Outside of work, Mark has a passion for travel, having visited over 50 countries, with the Philippines being his most frequented destination, visited seven times!
